The Drowning Void is a claustrophobic split ritual that unites Vampirska and Wampyric Rites in a shared descent into trance, obsession, and abyssal stillness. Rather than contrast, both sides mirror one another — black metal reduced to pressure, repetition, and ceremonial intent.
Vampirska’s contribution coils inward with vampiric fixation: hypnotic riffs, restrained percussion, and spectral vocals that feel whispered from within candlelit chambers. The atmosphere is intimate and suffocating, drawing power from focus and ritual continuity rather than aggression.
Wampyric Rites deepen the immersion with a more funereal, trance-driven approach — slow, oppressive rhythms and cavernous tones that feel submerged, as if sound itself is drowning. Together, both projects create a seamless passage through shadow, where time dilates and identity dissolves.
This split is less a collection of tracks and more a shared rite — black metal as ceremonial confinement, obsessive and unrelenting.
