Givre - Le Pressoir Mystique (CD)

Re-issue with bonus tracks and revised artwork!

Eisenwald re-releases the second record by Atmospheric-Black-Metal-outfit GIVRE from Québec (Canada), „Le Pressoir Mystique“ for the first time on CD and digital channels. It contains a mixture of black metal and medieval folk influences, which fans of very early Lantlôs will quite definitely enjoy: gnarly yet highly emotional.

It took shape in 2020 while the world was on hold due to the pandemic. The lyrics used for this project are direct citations of pre-existing historic texts. „Le Pressoir mytique“ translates to „Christ in the winepress”. It is a concept in medieval iconography: a representation of the passion of Christ seen as the flesh of humanity pressed to obtain blood, as we obtain wine from grapes. All that makes the album an intense journey through darkened times characterized by plagues, violence, and religious fanaticism.

Previously it had only been released in very limited editions on audio cassette. With a completely revised layout and two additional tracks, the album will now be released worldwide on CD and all digital platforms on September 30.
